Free Roaming Across India Launched

Tuesday 2nd June Witnessed an other historic decission, announced by Union Minister fro Communication and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad, by offering free national roaming for state-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) Customers.

This is really a great news to cherish, for over 117 million users of India's largest and oldest ommunication service provider (BSNL).

BSNL will start offering free national roaming from 15-june 2015.

BSNL has also cut roaming tariff by 40% for its prepaid and post paid users.

MNP (Mobile number portability): One nation, one number.

Govt of India has asked telecom firms to implement full mobile number portability (MNP), we hope the same is implemented by July 2015.

Once this facility is implemented, Indian mobile users will be able to change their mobile operators and retain their number even if they are moving to areas outside the service providers.

For instance, a subscriber in Mumbai is moving to Delhi or any other State will be able switch to any telecom network by retaining the same number.
