Google Maps to offer offline search & Navigation

The Google l/O Keynote event witnessed that it is going to provide the offline maps support which will include search support as well voice-enabled turn-by-turn directions. As we know that data connectivity on-the-go is big problem even after that google is doing hard to make it possible to provide sealess experience with minor data interruptions.

So when, next time you head over to location with spotty data coverage or no connectivity, Simply save the map of that area in google maps and you will have everything needed for navigation and local experience.

Google is going to provide this offline maps support later this year.

What we will get in google offline maps?

• Turn-by-Turn Navigation and Voice direction features
• Search for places and points of interest: Auto complete suggestions, reviews, contact numbers, opening hours and so on
