One more reason for Indian Mobile users to cheer, As most awaited 4G LTE service will be launched soon by Reliance Jio Telecom
Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani on company's 41st Annual General Meeting, announced the launch of 4G LTE Services under its business unit Reliance Jio. Company will roll out the 4G services around December-2015.
The Company will begin beta-testing over next few months along with several mobile applications and same programe will be upgraded into commercial operations by December-2015.
Reliance Jio is also expected to introduce the cheapest 4G LTE Smartphones under INR 4,000 with the commercial launch of its 4G Services across India.
Reliance Jio is working with few companies like Samsung, Huawei, ZTE. These and other few chines companies are making smartphones, Tablets & WiFi dongles for Reliance Jio which will be avaialble from December-2015.
According to Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani, the company will provide these services across all the 29 states in India and will capture the full market within next three years.
Reliance Jio 4G services will be available for nominal monthly charge of Rs. 300 to 500. It is expected that 80% of Indian population will be using Reliance Jio 4G services in one years time.
Reliance Jio has also applied for Cable TV MSO license for all over India. If this is sanctioned, Reliance Jio may also offer TV, Landline and Wifi all in one 4G box for household.
Reliance Jio today is only company in India with maximum 4G licences to operate across all the telecom circles.
History:
RIL Chairman Mukesh Ambani has originally launched Reliance Mobile on CDMA network in year 2002. This had cheap affordable plans for common person in India. However in year 2005 Reliance Infocomm/communication was handed over to Anil Ambani led RADAG as per wealth split plan. Further to that Mukesh Ambani, came under legal agreement where he will restrain from Telecom business in India for 5 years. Initially it was expected that Reliance Jio will not enter the traditional voice services and only compete on data services. But as 4G exclusive rights were revoked, company decided to enter even the voice territory.
